World and Olympic champion Sun Yang claimed his first gold medal at the Incheon Asian Games as he won the men's 400m freestyle final in 3:43.23 on Tuesday.

Japanese Kosuke Hagino, who upset Sun over 200m on Sunday, took the silver medal in 3:44.48.

South Korean Park Tae-Hwan had the bronze in 3:48.33.
