Less French people out of work in June: ministry
French President Emmanuel Macon started his battle against unemployment with a positive note.
The country reported 0.3-percent fall in joblessness rate in June, one month after he took office, according to labor ministry's data released on Tuesday.
Last month, 3.483 million people were registered without job or less 10,900 jobless claims compared to May's figures, the ministry said.
On yearly basis, the figure was down by 1 percent, it added.
Macron aims to lower joblessness rate to 7 percent by 2022 from 9.7 percent currently.
He is working to push though pro-business reform to labor laws to inject dynamism into the lifeless domestic job market despite trade unions refusal. Enditem
