XIAMEN, Apr.2 (China Economic Net) -- The 2024 China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum, themed "Building a Digital Innovation Partnership and Shaping a Bright Future of Digital Cooperation," took place in Xiamen from April 2nd to 3rd. In recent years, China and Africa have deepened their cooperation on internet development through mechanisms such as the joint building of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

At Fujian's NetDragon headquarters, software engineers are developing cutting-edge AI interactive courseware tools for Chinese education in Egyptian schools. Ms. Sun Ye, a product designer at NetDragon, explained to reporters that these AI interactive courseware tools fill the gap in high-quality online teaching materials in Egypt and assist Egyptian teachers lacking experience in Chinese language instruction.

NetDragon actively participates in digital skills training and serves as a bridge for cooperation between China and Africa in digital education industries. The developed Chinese AI interactive courseware has been successfully implemented in 12 Chinese teacher training schools in Egypt, benefiting over 800 Egyptian students. NetDragon has also signed digital education solution agreements with multiple African countries including Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya, and is involved in digital education initiatives in South Africa and Ghana.

Mr. Chen Long, Senior Vice President of NetDragon, stated, "Our cooperation in Africa is quite comprehensive, encompassing hardware, software, content, and integrated solutions for education. Different countries are at different stages of development, some starting with hardware while others focus on content. We aim to accelerate Africa's digital transformation." Ruijie Networks has over 200 partners in Africa, supplying network equipment such as switches, bridges, home routers, and export gateways to industries including hotels, enterprises, education, government, telecommunications, and households.

Xiamen SDIC Intelligence Meiya PICO, equipped with the most advanced forensic technology in China, is filling the gaps in cybersecurity law enforcement in African countries. Currently, it has established electronic data forensic laboratories in six countries including Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, and Ethiopia.

Zeng Jian, an engineer from Meiya PICO said, "The laboratory projects are progressing smoothly and have played a significant role in African countries, contributing to major achievements in combating cybercrime. We are considering more opportunities for cooperation in Africa in the future."

In terms of new business formats and new economies, cross-border e-commerce has become an important channel for economic and trade cooperation between Fujian province and Africa. Comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones have been established in cities such as Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Quanzhou, improving systems for cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehousing, logistics, and after-sales services.

Fujian Dukewell Hygienic Products Co., Ltd., a major producer of diapers, exports its products to Africa, South America, and Russia through e-commerce platforms. In 2023, the company's exports to Africa amounted to 40 million yuan, nearly half of its total revenue.
