John Bolton, national security adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump said publicly not long ago that he helped plan coups in other countries, and termed that a necessary way "to maximize the interests of the United States". His remarks triggered strong protests around the world. A large number of netizens, politicians and commentators accused him of being "shameless" of the sinister activities of manipulating coups in other countries. Former president of Bolivia Evo Morales said "these remarks show that the U.S. is the worst enemy of democracy and human rights."
