Guizhou, Japanese businesses ink cooperation deals

Businesses from southwest China's Guizhou Province and Japan reached six cooperative agreements Wednesday, as part of an economic and trade exchange event between young Chinese and Japanese entrepreneurs.

The agreements, covering fields of an industrial park construction projects, supporting projects of the industrial park, software maintenance and data services, business development in big data and artificial intelligence analysis, and precooling technology, were signed in Gui'an New Area of Guizhou.

Wang Yuxiang, deputy director of the Commerce Department of Guizhou, said that he hopes Japanese entrepreneurs can seize the opportunity of a new round of opening-up in China and Guizhou, and pay more attention to and participate in the development of the province.

Wang noted that a Japanese industrial park is under construction in Gui'an New Area, and more policies will be rolled out to support the park and attract industries.

Japan's exchanges with Guizhou have been rising in many areas. So far, Japan has set up 40 enterprises in the province, including Panasonic and Mitsubishi. Japan is also an important source of foreign capital for Guizhou. Last year, their trade reached 249 million U.S. dollars.
